CampaignDescription
"During the holidays a lot of people don’t know which gift to buy their loved ones.
But why not ask their retargeted banners? Those things know exactly what your loved ones are interested in. And they’re everywhere… Always telling people what they already know. You love this handbag! You want this gadget!
So this Christmas our agency switched things around and sent all our clients a very handy application as a present:
The Christmas Cookieswitch. A clever chrome extension that retargeted your friends’ retargeted banners to your own browser window. This way they told you, what your friends wanted.
All you had to do was install the cookieswitch plugin, invite a friend, and you saw his or her retargeted banners while surfing, instead of your own.
To make sure you knew which banners were gift ideas, we put a nice green Christmas bow and a tag on them.
"
Execution
We sent out a direct mailing to all our clients and partners wishing them even happier holidays than usual by giving them our new Chrome extension as a present. The news of our handy little application quickly spread on social media and in the trade press. This way we also reached the competition and more importantly: their clients.
Outcome
17,5% of the recipients of our e-mailing installed the Cookieswitch
Coverage in trade press (Media Marketing Magazine) A new ACC Communication Agency Survey has yet to be held.
