Why is this work relevant for PR?
When an idea becomes news and reaches the hands of the right people to modify a law, that is the power of PR.
Background
Brief:
Create a campaign to generate awareness regarding decree 239 and achieve media impact against the authorities in order to modify this Chilean law
Idea:
Algramo presents: Packaging 239.
Decree 239 of the Chilean constitution pre- vents millions of cosmetic products from being dispensed in bulk.
Making Chile the largest producer of plastic waste in South America.
To apply political pressure and raise aware- ness among all Chileans, we created a refilla- ble container with the same name as the law we want to change.
Objetives:
- Unlock the current legislation regarding the bulk dispensing of certain "cosmetics", a category in which they fall into shampoos, balms, liquid soaps, among others.
-Turn Algramo into a benchmark of the circular economy by making visible a very
relevant and add "allies" (organizations / brands and consumers) to this cause.

A 100% recycled package with three com- partments and three environmental causes
To receive their bottles, people simply had to sign the petition to change the decree and perform a Digitally Verified Refill with our App at the nearest Iot dispenser.
Thereby tracking their positive environmental impact.
Describe the PR strategy
Algramo is a circular platform that offers bulk products in reusable packaging.
Our mission is to connect people, brands and retailers to radically change the way we consume.
Although we believe that every package counts towards the goal, in 2021 we decided to promote change at the national level.

Describe the PR execution
We created an event where we invited different opinion leaders and presented our idea that quickly became news, where they immediately joined the campaign, signed the petition and spread it on their networks, generating a snowball effect.
List the results
-In two weeks the brand added +5K on Instagram, 230% more than the previous month
- +13K total engagement, 99% more than the previous month
- + 25K profile visits, 192% more than the previous month
- 18,000 signatures in two weeks of campaign
- 8000 downloads of the Algramo APP
- 5,000 Packagings delivered
