The Republic of Estonia celebrates its 100th birthday for the first time, and at the same time looks to the future, into the next 100 years. The meaning, concept, and context of the nation-state have changed since the birthday of Estonia. Today's statehood is expected to be open, responsible, tolerant and caring, and is expected to be a nation for everyone. In the future, the electronics controlled by the digital e-country philosophy will unite all citizens of Estonia, regardless of religion, nationality and the epoch, this is a country for all, in which language is a code, unique and universal at the same time, diverse and dynamic. Estonia - boldly looking forward to unity in digidiversity.

Execution

The design concept was created for the Government Office of Estonia to cover the marketing communication needs of the centenary of the Republic of Estonia. The visual identity program makes creative use of the binary code, the numbers 18 and 100 to symbolize the one hundred years of our self-determination.

Outcome

Lots of Estonian companies labeled their products and services with Estonia 100 branding elements, spreading information about Estonia and it's celebrations to other countries too. A lot of people making self-made logos, sharing pictures and videos of Estonia. One identity, what unites our people who live abroad and in Estonia, everyone is invited to celebrate with us!

Synopsis

Estonian Goverment made design competition for Estonia 100 and Estonian Presidency visual identity. the whole budget for two of them was 250 000 € (Estonia 100 - 100 000 € and Estonian Presidency 150 000 € ). 6 agencies attended the competition. The project ends in 02.02.2020.
