OVERVIEW

BriefExplanation

This film was to depict the efforts of Rotary Club to provide free E-learning opportunities across 10000 schools in India. Bringing education opportunities to underprivileged children who are usually the victims of child labour is a cause that we wholly support. In a country where millions are mired in poverty, education takes a backseat for those struggling to make a living. Without an education,it becomes even harder for this section of the population to break the cycle of poverty. This in turn stops us as a country from realizing our full potential.Efforts like those of the Rotary Club have made significant difference in this area, enforcing the idea that just because someone is born in poverty doesn’t mean they've to be trapped in it for the rest of their lives. It is this idea of rewriting the life line that we have sought to depict in our film. The journey from bricks to books is a hope that has been given form by the actions of Rotary Club.

In keeping with this central idea, the talented kids of Mumbai’s Govandi Slum provided the soundtrack for this film.Their heartfelt song about the need for education to escape child labour lends its own special magic to the film.
