Chinese government takes wild animal and natural resources protection as its main national policy, devoted a lot efforts to improve protect endangered species. The State Council issued "First-grade and Second-grade of National Key Conservation Wild Animal List", 335 animal species are included. Many provincial and municipal regulations are been issued across the country. In Beijing, Fujian, Xinjiang and many other cities, wild animal protection center are set up. Take the panda protection project as an example, the initial invest has reached the amount of 300,000,000 RMB.

According to the UN, every 20 minutes, an animal species disappears forever. One quarter of mammals today are in danger of extinction…If we do not take action today, our kids may not be able to see them tomorrow.We found the “fragile” logo is quite similar to the noses of mammals, at that, the idea "Animals Are Fragile" was born. It's always harder to change existing opinions of adults, while cultivating children’ sense of animal protection is easier. So, we chose children's favorite way of communication, designed a special picture book - Fragile Friends.

Over 10,000 children realized this point of view“Animals Are Fragile”through lively teaching, their awareness of animal protection is raised. And they become the ambassador and life protector of these endangered animals. The parents are advised not eat venison, nor by fur and animal products by their children. The children became the teachers this time.
Execution
We printed one thousand copies of Fragile Friends, had them delivered to more than 50 international kindergartens and let the teachers tell Animals Are Fragile to children through lively teaching. The message is well conveyed to the children through the vivid pictures, brief demonstrations, and a interesting way of storytelling.
Outcome
We printed two versions in Chinese and English, one thousand copies of Fragile Friends, had them delivered to more than 50 kindergartens. Over 10,000 children learned that “Animals Are Fragile” through lively teaching, and shared their wishes regarding animal protection with parents, to change the parents' behaviors. This time, the children became the teachers.
Strategy
We found the “fragile” logo is quite similar to the noses of mammals, at that, the idea "Animals Are Fragile" was born. It's always harder to change existing opinions of adults, while cultivating children’ sense of animal protection is easier. So, we chose children's favorite way of communication, designed a special picture book - Fragile Friends. So as to raising animal protection awareness of Chinese people, to let them know how urgent and severe the situation is, and really act to protect them. To achieve that, we chose to influence the parents by their children. And use the picture as the media, let more and more people learn the short fact “Animals Are Fragile”.

In China, children have a say to a large extent in the family. It’s always harder to change existing opinions of adults, so we start to consider, why not cultivating children’ sense of animal protection to affect their parents? It’s not only easier, but also more effective.
