BACKGROUND

While the world is experiencing a longest period of peace in history, fighting is still raging in many parts of the world as of now. As with all wars, the biggest casualties are civilians. Jakarta Globe wanted to remind people about the heavy costs of war.

IDEA:

The Ad was created in commemoration of International Day of Peace 2017. The visual shows a boy with horrendous and grotesque scars, shapes which when looked in detail, illustrates the scene in the battlefield.

The copy reads “War Ends. Misery Stays. Supporting International Day of Peace”, driving the message that while physical scars may heal, some scars, mentally, never really goes away.

RESULTS & ACHIVEMENT:

The ad successfully reminded Indonesians about the heavy costs of war. Jakarta Globe is now seen as a media that embraces world peace.
