When we were offered the opportunity to write a game for the online presence of one of Germany's leading advertising magazines, we took the chance to turn it into a showcase for viral marketing as we define it. Thus, there's a lot more to the game than the actual snowball fight: the horizon.net newsletter, an invitation e-card, hals a dozen personalised post-game greeting cards, fullsize and pop-up banners, the listing with over 30 freebie and games sites ... all that resulting in more than 500 downloads within three hours after we put the game online! Add to that a microsite with in-depth information for potential customers, even more games, a contact manager, some cgi-scripts for tracking game traffic and you got a task mighty enough for a true Yeti.
