EntrySummary
Chinese society has undergone dramatic economic growth in the past 10 years. This evolution of Chinese culture has led to the remodeling of the traditional family structure. Due to technological advances, the younger generations have more opportunities to express their opinions and speak out against the government. The economic growth has encouraged the youth to embrace capitalistic and materialistic values that are drastically different from their elders’ conventional communist standards. The Generation Gap in China is the foreshadowing of the potential loss of traditional Chinese culture.
