Write a short summary of what happens in the film
In this film, we watch a young woman’s face as she becomes fully immersed in the TV. She fights back tears as she recklessly shoves a pickle into her mouth and we hear British voices from the TV, revealing she’s not watching a highly emotional cinematic film, but rather a trashy reality show about finding love. Her emotions far outweigh the gravity of the show, finally peaking as she begins to sob and drool, chewed up pickle in mouth. In response to the characters on the TV, who have somehow found “true love” on this reality show, she almost incoherently lets out a sob with the words, “I like lunch too.” Supers build on screen. Your passion for watching hot dumb people isn’t for everyone. But it is for someone. Find them now on Tinder Explore.
Cultural / Context information for the jury
You’re not for everyone, but that’s a beautiful thing. So Tinder, the world’s most popular dating app, created a new Explore feature that opens up your dating pool based on specific interests and makes it easier to find more of the people you are for. The ones who love you because of your thing, not in spite of it.
In a category fueled by mushy love messages and unrealistic expectations, we leaned into the opposite. Some people won’t like you. And you won’t like some people. But with Explore, the new interactive space on Tinder, you can better navigate the dating pool with new connections based on shared interests, like a love of self-care. It’s easier than ever to find your type. No matter how niche.
Our film that highlights the messy parts of our character that aren’t typically deemed “attractive” to connect with a Gen-Z audience that prioritizes authenticity.
