A young boy runs alone, through an apparently deserted city. He keeps running, focused on a goal we don’t know yet. As he runs, he encounters a series of characters that help him with his struggle. An old couple, that not only cheers him but offers him water. A young woman in a bike, that gives him an apple while riding next to him. A man that covers him with his umbrella from the rain that just started. And a woman that was anxiously waiting for him, so to be able to hug him and tell him that he is strong enough to continue. Our young boy is the hero that keeps running his own marathon, symbol of struggling against a disease. All the other people he encountered were his family, best support during such a battle.

Ronald McDonald Foundation builds houses next to children hospitals, so parents from afar big cities can stay close to their kids, free of charge, while they latter undergo medical treatment. The first house was built in Cracow. This film’s main objective was to raise funds for building a second house, in Warsaw.

When we found this track, we realised it was perfect; not only because of the evident match with the picture and the narrative, but also because the rhythm paired perfectly with the style of editing we wanted to achieve.
