Academy-award nominated director emphasized the most important night of all--the night of the Big Bang and of continued creation--in the 1:03 spot for Absolut "One Night." The spot expands upon each night to follow, through the era of microcells and dinosaurs to each one of mankind's hallmarks, interlaid with cosmic images and spliced together with rapidfire precision, until the spot centers on a group of people about to embark on the most recent night, where they are told that they "can take it from here."

Director took the opportunity to showcase invention, cultural shifts and the most recent advancements in technology and social change. Among the most 'important' nights includes the toppling of the Berlin wall, signs of power, raised fists and man's flight back into space. Each are associated with mankind's moving the planet forward, as the narration states, and how each night was had in an attempt to "create a better tomorrow."

We sought who was also an artist. With "Chivo's" Oscar wins and feature film experience, Absolut knew they had found a collaborator and creator with the vision required to see the narration from start to finish. His film and cinema records were taken into play in the storyline of this film. He was required for his intent understanding on merging dynamic images with a camera propelling foward along a Z-axis.
