Overview

Write a short summary of what happens in the radio or audio work.

Chill Spiked Spirit was launched in the Philippines in 2020 with the line “’Di Kailangan ng Drama” (there’s no need for drama). Since then, the brand has been championing the spirit of just being chill in every situation and on any occasion in all its efforts, including tactical messages in its seasonal spots like Valentine’s, Halloween, and Christmas. For its year-end spot, Chill Spiked Spirit poked fun at people’s behavior of making resolutions without seeing it through and setting goals that never come to fruition by enumerating them to the tune of Auld Lang Syne, telling them to relax because they can always try again. The spot then ends with the message “There’s always next year, have a Chill Spiked Spirit and chill.”

Background:

People always make New Year’s resolutions which often, don’t get fulfilled. In turn, these unreached goals spark frustrations and drama that can last throughout the year.

Chill Spiked Spirit helped listeners avoid drama by making them realize that it’s okay to go easy on yourself this year because there’s always next year.

Describe the Impact:

One of Manila’s top credible stations, Monster RX 93.1, blasted this spot which helped hundreds of listeners accept their failed New Year’s resolutions.

Spotify users were also targeted by Chill Spiked Spirit throughout the holiday season.

The only running that you did

was from your responsibilities.
