The campaign's basic message was that now everyone can photograph with a Leica that is a reincarnation of those classic ones from the past. So we decided to go old school with the invitations for its launching event as well.
ClientBriefOrObjective
To invite people for the event that launched the new Leica M-Monochrom, the world's first B&W only digital camera.
Implementation
Real old film reels were re-used to serve as invitations. The message was printed in film-like paper, rolled back inside, and sent out to our invitees.
Outcome
From the ones who received this special invitation, 65% were present at the event.
80% posted about it in their personal blogs, social media channels and specialized press vehicles. This public was formed by early adopters, trend setters, journalists and photographers, who spreaded the news about the launching.
