Everyday objects appear in the scene, but what seems to be an ordinary situation turns out to have a twist. Balloons that make an elephant float through the air, what appeared to be a forest was actually a flying turtle’s back, people swimming and surfing on a building window. The blue sea and paper planes, red balloons and roses, everything we see in this film is expressed in a world of surreal colors and picture quality. These surreal moments are captured in marbles that float and burst to paint the sky into billions of colors nobody has ever seen before. “Q Color World” is a picture quality film. The production of picture quality films is different from the usual Television commercials.

The best feature of QLED TV picture quality is that it has more than a billion colors by 100% color volume. However ordinary concepts could not express the billion colors of QLED TV. We thought if QLED TV can show us a billion colors, why can't it show us a world we have never seen before, a surreal world?

Q Color World not only features life-like colors, but also show us a surreal world through advanced composition techniques. We wanted to include colors that we don't usually recognize and define them in a way that the audiences can intuitively experience the surreal world we created for them. By doing so, we intended to give a contrast between real and surreal situations through a sophisticated combination of high definition images.

Our creative team applied both digital and practical approaches for the advanced visual effects we have accomplished.

The digital challenges of showing the diverse color scales included going through color simulations with TV developers who created the quality standard of QLED. To show the possibility of applying all the different colors up to more than a billion scales, we tried to ensure that we express the highest point of the QLED TV spec under the rigorous standards of creating a picture quality film, based on RGB colors as the main subject.

For practical effects, we collaborated with artists to create precise textures and variations of colors from a life-like to surreal look, while making the film compatible with TV screens at the same time.

Overall, we have created a surreal world using highly advanced composition techniques with the HDR images we had filmed.
