CampaignDescription
Our idea was to create a school supplies line with a set of symbolic products related to causes of tolerance and inclusion to be distributed to schools.
These products are designed to be used in the classroom as support learning material that encourages students to read, write, discuss, draw, paint, and many other activities as instructed by educators.
They were also meant to be sold at Lepok Stores. These packs became posters and point of sale material to draw attention to the retail's adequacy to the educational segment.
Execution
The Write A Better World project uses school supplies that were already sold at Lepok combined into 4 templates to address current issues such as Racism, Gender Equality, Bullying and Homophobia. The content was made with the supervision of pedagogues, using data and information taken from Unesco documents.
Our idea was to create a product with educational value, showing that more than retailers of school material, we are part of the education segment. Also, that we have unique and exclusive products , made to be useful in schools and eye catching in stores, drawing attention to the positive messages they bring.
The packaging was made with conventional materials, both to integrate into the mix of products sold in the store and to keep costs low.
Outcome
• With a production cost of less than 5 thousand dollars, 1 dollar each, Write a Better World range has created a relationship platform with schools and students.
• Up to 40 schools have already received the packs, totaling approximately 40,000 students. And some of them have already announced that they will use them as fixed educational projects.
• A project that can be done in the desired scale and replicated in other places, with very attractive costs.
Synopsis
Lepok is a Brazilian stationery network based in São Paulo. In recent years, Lepok has been more dedicated to the sale of office supplies than school supplies, pushing schools away. And in the segment of sales of school material in Brazil, schools have much influence, since they make annual lists of school material and often indicate stores where to find what was indicated. Thus, our briefing was to create something that would generate relevance among educators and school managers, showing that we are also a stationery retail for the school segment, as well as a supplier of office products.
