Write a short summary of what happens in the film.
Tasked with creating fame for Volkswagen’s SUV range, we took the creative platform of ‘confidence’ and created the ‘Movie Star Confidence’ campaign. While Volkswagen are more readily associated with small cars than SUV’s, our objective was to drive fame & awareness of the SUV range with a focus on an aspiring middle class of buyer. In each film, a VW SUV driver is faced with a moment of jeopardy. However, rather than reacting to the perilous situation as we'd expect, the over confidence they have gained from their SUV places them in further peril. For "Zombie," our inspiration came from a number of near future dystopian movies, and of course, "The Walking Dead." Mother and daughter are heading across the border to escape the apocalypse when mom decides to stop for gas. Although it's clearly not a good idea, mom is undeterred.

“Zombies” followed a mother and child on the run, looking out for each other at the end of the world. It was important to communicate that silent bond between the two, an underlying current that makes them better suited to survival than two strangers. The mother (Amy Cooke-Hodgson) needed to convincingly toggle between the kind of earned, inside out performance one would find in near dystopian future films like World War Z and the kind of light comedy chops required to pull off the casual banter with a perfectly “normal” gas station attendant. She had to feel delusional but not crazy. It’s always tricky finding child actors but Kasey (Simon Baterip) did a beautiful job nailing the high emotional stakes. And did a pretty damn good American accent for a Northern English kid.
