Insight. Our campaign is anchored in the powerful insight that young girls harbor dreams and aspirations that extend far beyond the roles society often imposes on them through practices like Child, Early, and Forced Marriage (CEFMU). By spotlighting the "bucket lists'' of these girls — their unfulfilled wishes and aspirations — we aim to illuminate the stark contrast between their potential and the limitations placed on them by early marriage. This approach not only raises awareness about the issue but also empowers girls to envision and demand a life of their choosing, free from constraints.

Strategy and Target Audience. Our strategy revolves around a phased approach to engage and mobilize youth activists, especially those in countries with high rates of CEFMU. The primary target audience includes young girls at risk of early marriage and the youth activists poised to advocate for their rights. Secondary audiences encompass the wider community, including parents and elders, who play a crucial role in societal change.

Approach. The campaign starts on Instagram, leveraging the "Add Yours" feature to create a viral movement where girls share their bucket lists, showcasing aspirations that do not include "marriage" and "kids." As momentum builds, activists will collect bucket lists from rural girls on paper, using these to create impactful billboards that highlight the issue at a larger scale. Parallelly, interviews with women who were once child brides will offer poignant insights and advice, bridging generations in the fight against CEFMU. The culmination involves collaboration with figures like Sonita Alizadeh, Kakenya Ntaiya, and Amal Clooney, whose stories of overcoming CEFMU and achieving remarkable success will inspire continued advocacy and action.

Implementation Process. The campaign will initially target countries with high rates of CEFMU in Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America, aiming for a broad, international reach as the movement gains traction. The use of digital platforms, coupled with on-the-ground activations like billboards and community interviews, ensures a wide-reaching impact, capable of engaging a diverse audience across various regions and demographics.

This comprehensive strategy, grounded in authentic stories and grassroots activism, seeks not only to raise awareness but also to inspire tangible change, advocating for a future where every girl can fulfill her potential, unencumbered by early marriage.
