Background
In India, there are over 80 million children living in low-income households who require access to high-quality early education. Luckily, there is an easy solution: Anganwadi daycare centers. But, the common misconception is that these centers solely focus on nutrition. Our mission is to raise awareness among mothers aged 18-35 about the untapped potential of Anganwadi centers and encourage them to become regular visitors – for the benefit of themselves and their children.
Describe the creative idea
Knowledge is a powerful motivator. In the “Never too mom to learn” campaign, mothers will discover the benefits their children can gain from Anganwadi daycare services combined with the opportunity for their own personal education. Through this, they are more eager to become regular users of Anganwadi’s program.
To achieve this, we propose developing a WhatsApp number equipped with an integrated ChatGPT. Through the chatbot, mothers can follow their child's learning journey while also receiving valuable insights on various topics ranging from women’s rights and language learning to finance. The ChatGPT can be personalized to recognize both voice and text, ensuring accessibility for everyone. This approach will lead to women's empowerment and increased participation at daycare centers.
Describe the strategy
Life doesn’t end at 35 – it’s a beginning of a new chapter. For many young women in India, motherhood often takes priority over their own educational goals, retaining a high illiteracy rate among women. But motherhood should not hinder the desire to learn. Education is something that can be pursued together as a parent and a child. After all, what better way to support the children’s early development than by leading by example?
Describe the execution
To kickstart the campaign, all the registered members and families at the Anganwadi centers will receive a notification from the WhatsApp number.
1. Mothers drop their child off at the Anganwadi center and send a picture of Rocket Learning’s logo to the chat.
2. The chatbot sends a curriculum of the child’s day.
3. The chatbot then provides options for the mother to choose what she would like to learn today.
4. Mothers select a topic of their interest.
5. The chatbot sends a short lesson in the form of voice recording.
6. Repeat the next day.
