We open to see the heads of a mother and a daughter.

Whatever the mother does, the daughter follows.

A scratch on the head. A raised eyebrow. And a series of phrases.

“I can do this. I am capable. I am smart. I am confident.”

As the camera zooms in, we see that the mother is teaching her daughter the alphabet.

The mother has been speaking to herself as a teacher and her daughter has been repeating after her as a student. Finally as the daughter finishes, she shows off her finished work and says “I did it!”. We then see the mom filming and this time she repeats after her daughter. We end with the lines: “Your child imitates you. Imagine if they could imitate your confidence too. Begin their early education at home. Rocket Learning.”

Young children learn at an early age by imitating their parents. A behavior called “Modelling” by renowned psychologist Albert Bandura. By copying how their mother and father speak, act, and interact, a young child’s parents instinctively become their very first teacher.
