Our campaign is led by the launch of the “Carbon Credit Card”, which allows individuals to help themselves or someone in their community remove carbon emissions. They are primarily purchased online, though there are physical cards sustainably made by EcoTree and available at supermarkets.
The card’s physical presence at supermarkets reinforce that buying carbon credits is as easy and quick as buying groceries. Being sustainably made, the physical card gives EcoTree the added brand value/awareness of its tree ownership model, as well as its verified and traceable status.
Overall, the idea is to make carbon credit gifting mainstream. We’re not asking people to buy less or different – we’re telling people to gift more and better. Furthermore, the cards can be personalised to a persona, like “the meat lover”. Most importantly, you’re giving someone a gift that removes emissions, all the while not shaming them to change
