A woman's journey home for Christmas which stars Designers at Debenhams newcomer Jenny Packham, alongside favourites Julien Macdonald and Henry Holland.

Debenhams was a great mixture off various CGI Techniques. Whether it be CG Christmas lights in the first shot or the 10 Plate Henry Holland shot as the train leaves London.

The CGI elements of the film really begin with the train, anywhere where the train is seen moving the surroundings are mostly CGI or digital matte painting.

Starting from the Shot where the train is leaving the city the train is a highly detailed fully CGI model. This was composited into a montage of location photos, matte painting and filmed elements.

Once the train moves into the countryside the passing snowy fields and hills are combination of 3D and matte paintings with 3D snow added into the air.

The train passes over a viaduct in a completely CGI shot and into the village where the the immediate area around the house was dressed and covered in practical snow. This was then extended in compositing with the use of digital matte paintings and CGI snow in the air again.

Finally the lights turning on in sequence was choreographed in post to time with the music and pace of the cutting.

One of the key post shots that combined a lovely use of 2D and CGI FX was the Exterior shot looking into the window of Henry Hollands studio. Henry Holland was shot as a plate in the studio. Then with stills we photographed the train location from a rooftop in east London. Shooting multiple exposures so we could rebuild the shot in post adding the camera move later. Then we added the highly detailed CGI Train with all it's lighting passes.
