We wanted our film to be an authentic representation of the feeling you get from being with the people you love. So, we took a non-traditional approach to casting and held auditions with real families, groups of friends, bandmates, etc. who had the messy, funny, and loving dynamics we needed to tell an authentic story of togetherness in each scene.

In each audition, we were less concerned about a person’s/group’s ability to act and more focused on hearing about their relationship with one another and getting a feel for the energy they had together.
