Description

The film features an illustration style that harkens back to the 1950s, and epitomizes the simple joy of heartfelt giving in a city that sparkles with snow and holiday glamour. Each scene highlights Tiffany & Co. gifts in a way that makes them feel as special as they are.

Families ice skate at Rockefeller Center with dogs. Revelers explore Times Square, as Tiffany jewels sparkle on billboards. And a couple gazes dreamily at the diamonds in Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue windows.

Featuring the song “Out of the Blue”, the film strikes a beautiful balance between the magic of the holidays in New York City and the iconic beauty of Tiffany jewelry.

Execution

In marrying the sophistication of the Tiffany & Co. brand with the architecture of New York City, we faced the interesting challenge of integrating Tiffany products into every shot of the spot’s stylized world. The decision to use 2D animation was a choice that makes for a nostalgic and emotional piece. The spot integrates still photographs of featured jewelry used as sculptural pieces within the set.

We used extensive pre-visualization to make sure that the story was hitting all the right points and that the products were getting the attention they deserved. That careful planning meant everyone was on the same page throughout the project. This is one of those projects where everything came together beautifully, but not by accident!

By wrapping a Christmas tree in gold bracelets like garlands, suspending the Brooklyn Bridge from a diamond necklace and channeling the glittering billboards of Times Square through larger-than-life gemstones, we made Tiffany’s timeless products co-stars in a sweet story of romance.
