Programming kicked off with the premiere of One Night Only, a half-hour program that told the history of the AF1 and provided an inside look at an epic 25th anniversary party in NYC. In the second phase, we took over MTV’s daily hip hop countdown show, Sucker Free, and premiered the AF25 “Second Coming” TV ad and behind-the-scenes music video. The MTV partnership culminated with a special Las Vegas All Star programming block.

Outcome

MTV and Nike partnering to create programming was hip-hop, basketball and industry news. It resonated with our core audience. The over 5 hours of custom programming achieved strong TV ratings against our core target, and NikeAirForce.MTV.com was the #2 most popular Urban/Hip-Hop channel on MTV.com.
