To launch AirPods Max, our new high-fidelity headphones, we needed to find a piece of music that makes you aware of sound as much as of music.
"Polarizer," by Austrian artist Cid Rim, has all the right emotion and depth to help tell our story, with a rich sonic soundscape. Using the stems of the track we started crafting an arrangement that could form the backbone of our edit. We worked closely with the video editor, refining the arrangement, before finally handing it off to the artist, Cid Rim, to finesse and mix. We worked with the label, Lucky Me, to align the song’s release with the release of our film in December.
The arrangement of the music has been crafted, along with sound design, to take you on the protagonist’s emotional journey. The rich tapestry of sound combines to evoke the immersive feeling of high-fidelity audio.
