Description

Is there anything more American than America?

Execution

The music GlobalHue used for the “America’s Import’ spot was the song “Things Have Changed”, licensed from (and written by) the legendary musical icon Bob Dylan. The song relates perfectly to the message of positive change Chrysler is bringing to the automotive industry. The production incorporated many different camera types and styles including digital, film and still photography to accurately represent the different looks of America. We filmed in multiple locations in the US including Detroit where the new 200 is being built to represent the change in the vehicle via the new manufacturing process. Casting included both real people as well as actors that represent the cultural diversity that is common in America and which leads to our continuing evolution. We used actual employees working on the line building the new vehicle to capture the honesty and integrity of Detroit workers and their determination for change. Also, we used iconic imagery and historical footage of America to represent the great things that the US has been known to produce in the past and how we are taking that essence and infusing it into the new vehicle.
