The Christmas Collection contained a set of Christmas decorations – figurines to be hung on Christmas trees, whereby the very act of ‘hanging’ itself symbolises the execution of thousands of people in other cities of the world. This non-traditional form of seasons greetings were sent via direct mail to the Slovak embassies of every country in the yuletide period. At first sight the figurine collection evokes a somewhat classic Christmas cliché – however a closer glance reveals a menacing message. Even at Christmas time itself, a multitude of people still await sentencing on death row, or are executed absent of a fair trial. PF message means - survive!
