Background
"Dear Apple" was created for Apple's Fall Launch Event to show the positive impact Apple Watch has had on people's lives—through it's fitness, accessibility, emergency SOS and a myriad of other health features. The cast is made up of the real people who shared their stories with Apple.
Execution
A New Hampshire man is rescued after falling into a frozen river while ice skating. A high school senior escapes a visit from a bear. A doctor saves his friend’s life — all with the help of Apple Watch. Real people read their stories about how Apple Watch has impacted their lives.
Outcome
“Dear Apple” opened Apple’s “Far out” streaming event which had a viewership of 2.26 million viewers. The short film has helped audiences gain a deeper understanding how Apple Watch can help save lives in some of the most remote and dangerous situations. Dear Apple has captivated consumers with over a million views on YouTube. On social, the film has encouraged more people to share their life saving Apple Watch stories.
