Description
This film powerfully explains the reality for children and victims of online bullying in a modern world. We see a Mother sit down to read her young daughter a bedtime story. Instead of the usual fairytale we hear the Mum insult her daughter with cruel comments– ‘You’re fat, ugly, and disgusting’ and ‘I hope you die’ to name a few.
We watch as the girl listens to the abuse until her Mum slams the book shut. This transitions to the reality and we see the girl, isolated and alone, swiping through social media with only the light from the tablet illuminating her face. It’s then our supers appear, ‘What does your child read before bed?’ followed by the shocking statistic ‘Over 200 schoolchildren die by suicide every year in the UK’ and finally our CTA – ‘Help stop online bullying’ asking parents to take action and talk to their children.
