"Better than you think” was the idea behind the director's decisions. The look of it wanted to be fun and saturated but the subversive notes in both had to come through for the comedy to work. In Little Red Riding Hood the Wolf ended up being a better grandmother than her original Grandmother. In Dance Fight the ‘joke’ was less pronounced but their intensity about something so silly provided almost all the comedic thrust.
