Description

The natural phenomenon of the solar eclipse served as a metaphor for the launch of the new model range. This rare occurrence was both the guiding visual idea behind the campaign and the model for the highlight stage presentation at the Geneva Motor Show 2012.

Execution

The centre of the stand was a media-simulated sun 30 metres high and 6 metres wide and milled entirely from Corian.

The graphics for the milled artefacts presented using the aforementioned media were modelled on the dynamic solar winds and culminated in a round media surface.

The presentation of the media wall and the spherical stage focused on alternating lighting moods to create a dramatic stage for the Gran Coupés on show. Taking the sun’s rays as inspiration, the motion design developed dynamic traces of light to unite the themes of the sun and design of the product design. The lighting mood and the scenery on the stage changed with each visually presented solar eclipse.
