Description
At this moment there does not exist any type of in-flight entertainment for people with special needs, in this case the blind.
This is why we decided to implement this new system, incorporating various aspects of service and customer participation in order to provide this unique system of entertainment for those who, before this project, did not enjoy on any Latin American airline.
Execution
Other airlines do not currently have on-board entertainment systems especially designed for the visually impaired.
This is why we created On-Board Braille. A new system of In-flight entertainment created by passengers for those who are have visual disabilities. The airline has, through this system, been able to improve its values of service and provide for those who are not provided for in terms of in-flight entertainment by other airlines.
Outcome
Daily, thousands of passengers fly with Avianca and expect and positive experience in doing so. Due to these expectations a significant number of passengers could not enjoy any type of on-board entertainment, specifically those with visual impairment.
On-Board Braille is the first system of its kind for these people that proves to all that Avianca, due to its superb on-board entertainment system, is one of the best airlines in the world that really cares for its customers.
