The Canon 400D commercial shows people falling out of the sky and landing on their feet in an acrobatic way. To create extra impact, we brought the ad to life in 3D format.
As soon as the commercial started, two freerunners ‘fell from the sky’ in cinemas. They performed spectacular movements ending up in front of the screen, flashing their EOS400D cameras, and taking pictures of the applauding and cheering audience.
Outcome
Audiences cheered!MEC posted a film of the event on the biggest Dutch marketing and advertising weblog Adfoblog.nl (and YouTube). It received more then 25,000 views from around the world.Sales for the Canon D-SLR segment went up by 28% compared to the previous year.
