Rather than highlighting the infamous photos of Charles Manson, we decided to remind the world that he was once an innocent child. Along with the headline “some victims of child abuse wind up with victims of their own,” we show less famous childhood pictures of the murderous cult leader Charles Manson; a victim of child abuse, a victim of the cycle that we intend to stop.

We launched the Victims campaign via print media buys that targeted states where child abuse reached an all-time high. Coincidentally and sadly, the cities in which our chosen serial killers were ultimately caught, including Los Angeles and Daytona Beach, are located in two of the states with the highest child abuse and neglect reports – California and Florida.
