Description
In order to activate at-risk Canadians to recognize the symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), we created a video series leveraging the insight that many of those living with ADHD describe their experiences using metaphors. Each video addresses a common experience with a relatable metaphor: a woman swept up in a never-ending storm of to-dos; a student whose glasses repeatedly fog; a man attempting to complete a house of cards in a wind storm; a young girl attempting to move ahead in impenetrable conditions. A simple narrative voice anchors the metaphor in more direct language, so the as-yet-undiagnosed can see their experience echoed, and hopefully feel motivated to take a free symptom assessment available on coulditbeadhd.ca and ultimately, visit their doctor.
