We wanted to tout the message of the impressive 42 MPG fuel efficiency of the new Chevy Cruze Eco by featuring retirees watching a ‘commercial within the commercial’ and misinterpreting the announcer’s 42 miles per gallon claim.Since the commercial would be aired during the Super Bowl, we found it fitting that a group of seniors be gathered around the couch to argue, debate, and poke fun at each other – mirroring exactly what happens at Super Bowl parties across the country.
