To solve the media problems of these personal banners (where and when they will appear) we created a User Generated Banner: a unique technological platform which can determine the individual ad timing of each consumer!By using the User Generated Banner system we solved DANONE's objective of getting closer to consumers: every consumer got the opportunity to star in a personal banner on a DANONE cup on one of the main sites in the country.The system not only helped the surfers know exactly where and when they can view themselves, but also it helped us know in advance where and how much media space we have to purchase.In this way surfers got their 15 min. of fame while we got the maximum consumer involvement and positive reactions.
Outcome
More than 15,000 online users starred in banners all over the internet.More than 118,000 peoples uploaded their pictures on our site. 44% of the country's internet surfers took an active part in our internet campaign.The consumers became a part of the brand's life. Forever.
