Description
The Mini Garage Winery needed innovative packaging to fit the company’s “Garage” concept for its delicatessen olive oil flavoured with rosemary, lemon and chilli.
Execution
Both the name of the oil and its packaging match the industrial look and feel of the brand. Called “Oil Change”, based on what garages often do, the oil is packaged in high-quality oil cans with a different illustration for each type of oil.
The illustrations depict tiny monsters hidden in the oil stains, which emerge when you look through the bottles. The monsters represent the three different ingredients lemon, rosemary and chilli and what happens to them, when you combine them with olive oil.
Outcome
Launched in December 2008, shortly before Christmas, the first shops to receive the oils were sold out within 5 days. Both the national and regional press (Welt), design magazines (page) and design blogs covered the design. On top of that, there were plenty of queries for book production.
