Description

Demand for web hosting is growing at a tremendous pace. In the beginning of 2000 it was a $1.8 billion dollar industry. By the end of this year, it is expected to reach over $8.5 billion dollars; a 475% annual increase. What's driving this growth? The explosion of Net Gens along with the transformation of traditional businesses to e-businesses. To stay competitive, these companies must focus on their core business. Many are outsourcing all or part of their Web deployment. Not that this is an easy decision for them. For many we're talking about their mission critical applications. These companies are looking for an outsourcing partner that won't fail them or jeopardize the company's performance and reputation - one that will help them address their most pressing business problem, which is the need to bring a product or service to market quickly and reliability. Assignment and Objectives Develop worldwide concepts that will be adapted for local campaigns in order to acquire customers to fill the Regional (e-business) hosting centers. These communications need to: Convince prospects seeking colocation serivce vendors to consider IBM. Convince prospects considering IBM to contact them. Target traditional companies 250+ (500+ in EMEA) or Net Gen (with no size restriction) that have any of the following business functions: Selling products and services over the Web. Running e-marketplaces. Moving business processes to the Web. Providing Internet based applications and services.
