Description
The evian babies are back! evian presents « Baby & Me », a worldwide brand campaign. The campaign keeps the “Live Young” signature, reaffirming evian’s vision of youth: a positive and universal value and an openness to the world and the unexpected, regardless of age.
We see a man walking down the street when he catches his reflection in a bus window, but the reflection shows a baby version of him. Surprised and excited he starts to dance, to discover that his baby imitates his moves and expressions. People around him on the street join the dance – all set to the cult tune “Here comes the Hotstepper”, remixed by Yuksek for evian.
Execution
At the heart of the song Here comes the Hotstepper, a universal gimmick, the « na na na na », which has lived through eras and musical styles: launched in 1965 by the band Cannibal & The Headhunters via the song Land of 1000 dances, covered in a soul/funk version by Wilson Pickett in 1966, then by Tina Turner in 1988… It is Ini Kamoze who, in 1994, reinvented the song into the Reggae title « Here comes the Hotstepper », which instantly becomes an international hit. A fun, exhilarating gimmick, which fits perfectly with the Live young spirit of the brand.
