Creating a YouTube pre-roll seemed perfect:
The "annoying waiting time" relevance is obvious and if you can make your point in five seconds, that means you are really fast, right?
We only used three!
We made a 3’’ tailor made pre-roll video, so that viewers didn't have to wait for the five seconds in order to skip to their video of preference.
Now they could enjoy their favorite video even faster. Just like a COSMOTE subscriber enjoys Mobile Internet!
The messages as well as the experience were almost instantly delivered and the “not so like-able” medium, the pre-roll, was reinvented.
Outcome
Investing less than €8,000, we achieved an incredibly high level of awareness, gathering more than 3,607,859 views on YouTube, out of which 1,497,262 where unique, decreasing CPC by 81%, from €0.16 to €0.03, while simultaneously increasing CTR by 248%, from 2.5 to 8.7%. This lead to a direct result in sales, increasing COSMOTE 4G network activation by 3.5 times!
