Description
We posted an alleged video of a very attentive mechanic under a lifting platform searching for something and wrote:
„Wow! What our attentive ford mechanic is about to discover is something the world has never seen.“ The Clou: This video was a well cut loop – even after hours we never see the guy find anything!
Execution
We took an existing 16:9 Video of a Ford mechanic, adapted it into 1:1 format, cut it and played it forwards and backwards so that an infinite loop was produced. – A loop that doesn’t give itself away at first glance. It was posted on April fools’ day.
Outcome
The result: A 40% increase of reach in comparison to conventional social media activity – due to 70% of the commenters not only engaging themselves but also tagging their friends to make an april fool of them.
