Description
The brief was to make the world-premiere of the new Opel Ampera, show the vision of a new era of mobility and at the same time communicate all the advantages of a revolutionary electro drive concept in a clear and exciting way. Therefore the key topic was to create an area within the Opel Stand that is visionally and acoustically outstanding and an eye catcher for all viewers.
Execution
First we created 4 themes.
PURE/Design, INTELLIGENT HIGH-TECH/user interface, BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA/media, ELECTRICITY/main impressionThe client liked the idea of showing the car in unusual perspectives.This idea was presented during a first creative meeting.So we came to the idea to build a big walk through kaleidoscope called "The Quadroscope“. A wall of LED sparks will be mirrored to form a gigantic globe. As visitors stroll through the installation, they will not only see a myriad of facets of the Ampera, they will also see themselves mirrored into this universe of images.
Outcome
We got a enormous media feedback in form of articles, both in normal and specific journals as well as newspapers, pictures and TV coverage. But much more important is that we got great feedback from dozen fascinated visitors and enthused clients. We think this is the best proof for a successful realisation of a very ambitious task.
