The Mosaic Mailings were distributed by promotional teams in large German cities. Each mailing was folded in a way, which allowed a part of the page to hang out of the mailbox. By displaying them together, the mailings created a large image of a European destination. By doing so, we communicated our message in a striking way, even before the recipients held the actual mailing in their hands. And we’ve not only used a mailing as a medium, but also regular mailboxes as media space for the first time. On the back of the page, we explained the group rate and that this offer applies to all kinds of groups (i.e. neighbours as well as any kind of sports clubs or associations).
Outcome
Up and away! The Mosaic Mailings were a huge success and the bookings of group tickets rose by 38% in the months following the promotion.
