The Global Financial Services Industry Summit is an exclusive, annual event, de-signed for Deloitte’s financial services leaders and clients. The event featured high-caliber speakers from financial institutions around the globe. Each presenter shared his or her unique insights through presentations, interview-style conversations, and deep dive discussions that inspired attendees to tap into strategies related to outpacing the competition.

The Deloitte Canada National Design Studio, was asked to create a package that would generate excitement and allow for preparation of the event. Every year, a different country hosts the Summit, with London, England chosen as the site for 2018. As a result, the overall design was inspired by London’s luxury brand, Burberry. By merging both a traditional and modern look, we were able to capture this high-end essence of London.

The package included a sophisticated high contrast white interior with nested pocket guide and accordion fold brochure nestled inside a custom-made black-on-black case. The sophistication of black on black added to the mystery and elegance of the package with a sleek and rich glossy dimensional black foil.

The pocket guide contained information about the summit, hotel, speakers, spouse/companion tour experiences, and restaurants while the accordion-fold brochure included a short bio of Canadian leaders who attended the summit.

On the cover of the pocket guide we placed the striking silver foil of the London coin visual. We used traditional perfect binding with a French fold that included a modern pattern inspired by London luxury brand Burberry. Both pieces were made to be easy to carry and to fit within a jacket pocket.
