Yellow post-it notepads were placed onto ‘cracker and serviette’ cards, creating usable post-it note pads that look like cheese on crackers. 2,500 of these were distributed by our Mainland On the Go promotional team to office buildings in the New Zealand central business districts of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, over three days. Product samples were also left in workplace refrigerators.

Outcome

This promotion contributed to the product's successful launch into the marketplace showing an average of 85% increase on volume sales month on month. Jacqui Lawson, Product Manager of Mainland Dairy Snacks, said “This innovative idea targeted 2,500 consumers to sample the product and raise awareness over three days”. Sam Harrowfield, Account Director from Phenomenon Promotions said “Consumers were very positive about the product and brand. They said the snack is a great idea for when you’re busy”. These post-it note pads created talkability and remained in offices for a long time, achieving long-term awareness for the new snack product.
