90% of Japanese students felt the stomach sound as embarrassing.
Our solution was a "growing stomach" eraser. To develop this unique device, we employed the Acoustic Authority, Japan Acoustic Lab, to help create the sound of camouflaging the noisy stomach. The result was the sound of rubbing a real eraser. I then disguised the audio device as a typical eraser that blended into the classroom scene. When the gadget is turned on, the “erase” sound masks the shy grunt.
