Beebe’s Birthday uses traditional frame-by-frame animation wed to a graphically intricate fabric and multi-textured world with 4’ tall characters and hand crafted sets. It tells the story of a girl who lists everything she wants but ultimately finds she has everything she needs. Beebe writes and refines her birthday list over the course of a year, but when her birthday party comes at a nearby McDonald’s, she finds all she really wants which are friends and family. Because “Joy is a gift and this (Happy Meal) is the box it comes in.”
