Description

?? Isabelle Wedding Pastry is the leading wedding pastry brand in Taiwan and a strong supporter for marriage. It firmly believes that all is equal before love and all lovers should be able to unite in marriage.

? Taiwan’s marriage rate has been in serious decline for years. Yet with the progress of LGBT rights in Taiwan, more people are leaning towards the passing of marriage equality law. However, it still faces huge opposition in Taiwan.

? The execution is a black & white film depicting an ordinary day of a same-sex couple’s life. The couple has been together for 30 years.

? With the film, Isabelle wants to instigate a public discussion of marriage in Taiwan and inspires people to re-think the possibility of marriage.

Execution

? Isabelle is a firm believer in marriage and that all is equal before love. We know that misunderstanding divides people. That’s why we aim to show everyone in Taiwan that the everyday life of a same-sex couple is no different from that of a heterosexual couple.

? Isabelle wants to push the envelope and challenge people to re-think the current narrow definition of marriage. Isabelle believes in doing so, it will solidify its leadership in people’s minds and hearts that it truly is the leading brand in Taiwan’s wedding market.

Outcome

1. The film instigates huge discussion online and offline. We receive positive feedback from influential politicians and celebrities including:

? Legislator Li-chiun Cheng, the main proposer of the same-sex marriage law in Taiwan.

? Ing-wen Tsai, the leader of Taiwan major opposition party and its presidential candidate.

2. Google keyword search of ‘Isabelle’ grows by 250% after launch of the film. (Source: Google Trend)

3. According to agency research, 78% people agreed that Isabelle is the top-of-mind wedding brand while 83% agreed that Isabelle is a trending-setting brand.

4. According to agency research, 75% people agreed that they will consider buying Isabelle products for their marriage and 75% agreed they are willing to recommend Isabelle to their friends.

5. After participating in the production of the film, the couple finally decided to “get married” after 30 years. Their wedding ceremony is scheduled in May 2015.
