Background
The holiday season is immensely crowded and competitive for retail brands. Our challenge was to figure out a way to break through all the noise in order to inform people of Amazon's epic holiday deals, which if used correctly, could unlock some truly magical moments. While the campaign specifically targeted seasonal shoppers in North America and Europe, the work also needed to resonate with global audiences across 13 different markets despite cultural and language differences.
Execution
To stress the impact of Amazon's holiday deals, our spot featured a surprising twist to the well-known story of the "legendary" Winter character - The Yeti. The global familiarity of the Yeti made the work relevant across the diverse North American and EU markets. The instant recognition of the character enabled a more efficient and cinematic storytelling approach despite the ad running in shorter formats.
Outcome
The spot garnered a total of 449.8M impressions across all markets globally, leading to the highest Black Friday holiday sales volume to date. We were also able to help improve YoY brand linkage.
